Abstract
The invention relates to a biaxially oriented polyester film having a base layer (B) which comprises at least 80% by weight of a polyester comprised of from 55 to 90 mol % of units deriving from at least two aromatic dicarboxylic acids and of from 5 to 45 mol % of units deriving from at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, where the total of the dicarboxylic-acid-derived molar percentages is 100. The film features ultimate tensile strength of ≦100 N/mm2 and modulus of elasticity of ≦3000 N/mm2.
