Abstract
A sole plate assembly comprising a sole plate with at least two or more engageable elements disposed along a peripheral portion of the sole plate, the engageable elements each being adapted to engage a complementary engageable element associated with a sole to form a male-female pair of elements that provide an interference fit that helps secure the sole plate to the sole; and a sole adapted to receive the sole plate.
