Abstract
A method and system for optimizing tag based protocol streaming parsing. A method in accordance with an embodiment comprises: comparing a read tag and the tags of a reference tag table and, if the read tag belongs to the reference tag table, determining if a function name is associated with the tag belonging to the reference tag table, and if a function name is associated with the tag belonging to the reference tag table, executing the function corresponding to the tag corresponding to the reference tag table.
