Abstract
The present invention relates to an improved process for the preparation of (S)-(−)-α-ethyl-2-oxo-1-pyrrolidine acetamide and analogues thereof. The invention also relates to compounds of the general formula (6) wherein R1 is methyl or ethyl; and R2 is C?2#191 -C?4#191 alkyl, C?2#191-C?4#191 alkenyl or C?2#191-C?4#191 alkynyl, optionally substituted by one or more halogen, and their preparation processes.
