The invention relates to novel 4-biphenyl-substituted 4-substituted pyrazolidine-3,5-diones of the formula (I)in which Moreover, the invention relates to selective herbicidal compositions comprising both the 4-biphenyl-substituted 4-substituted pyrazolidine-3,5-diones and a crop plant compatibility-improving compound.
