Abstract
A hinge for an electronic device, such as mobile radio terminal, is a two-part hinge with a top tube on a top half of the device, a bottom tube on a bottom half of the device, and a hinge assembly in the top tube and the bottom tube. The top tube and the bottom tube together extend across substantially all of a hinge connection width, and may extend across substantially all of a device width of the electronic device. The hinge assembly extends across at least most of the hinge connection width, such as extending across at least 90% of the hinge connection width. The hinge assembly includes a flexible film ribbon connector for making electrical connections between the top part and the bottom part of the electronic device. The flexible film is wrapped around a shaft of the hinge assembly.
