Abstract
An organic electroluminescent device with a pair of electrodes having an anode and a cathode, and one or more organic compound layers disposed therebetween. One of the anode or the cathode is transparent or semitransparent. One of the organic compound layers includes a charge-transporting polyester having a repeating structure containing at least one structure selected from the structures represented by the following formulae as a partial structure:
