Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for monitoring the singling of sheet material, in particular of bank notes.The invention starts out from monitoring the singling of sheet material, in particular of bank notes, by means of a singler having a drive and a control device for a monitoring and controlling of the singler, wherein a monitoring of place, time, orientation and state of the singled sheet material is effected immediately after the singling.
