A description is given of 3-amino-2-nitro-substituted benzoyl derivatives of the formula (I) as herbicides.In this formula (I), X, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 are radicals such as hydrogen, organic radicals such as alkyl, and other radicals such as halogen.
