Abstract
Polyester polyols are produced by reacting terephthalic acid with a glycol corresponding to the formula H—(OCH2CH2)n—OH and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid. These polyester polyols are particularly useful for the production of polyurethane) (PUR) and polyurethane/polyisocyanurate (PUR/PIR) foams for use in insulation applications.
