Abstract
The present invention relates to a cylinder lubricant having a BN determined according to standard ASTM D-2896 greater than or equal to 15, preferably greater than 20, preferably greater than 30, advantageously greater than 40 milligrams of potash per gram of lubricant, comprising: This lubricant has sufficient neutralization power vis-à-vis the sulphuric acid formed during the combustion of high-sulphur fuel oils, while limiting the formation of deposits during the use of low-sulphur fuel oils.
