Abstract
Disclosed is an organic EL device element having high external quantum efficiency and long life time. A lighting device and a display device each using the organic EL device element are also disclosed. The organic EL element comprises plural organic compound layers including a light-emitting layer and at least one hole transport layer, interposed between an anode and a cathode, and a phosphorescent light-emitting compound contained in the light-emitting layer emits light. The organic EL device is characterized in that at least one hole-transport layer contains two or more polymerizable compounds represented by general Formula (1) or two or more polymer compounds having a structural unit derived from a compound. In the Formula (1) L1 represents a divalent bonding group, Ar1 through Ar4 represent an aromatic group, provided that at least one of Ar1 through Ar4 represents a polymerizable group as a substituent.
