Abstract
An electrode active material including a core active material and a coating layer, including a compound represented as the following Formula 1, on a surface of the core active material, a method of preparing the same, an electrode for a lithium secondary battery which includes the same, and a lithium secondary battery using the electrode.Lia-Mb-Nc [Formula 1]where, M denotes an alkaline earth metal, a/(a+b+c) is in a range of about 0.10 to about 0.40, b/(a+b+c) is in a range of about 0.20 to about 0.50, and c/(a+b+c) is in a range of about 0.20 to about 0.50.
