Abstract
A drill bit has a drill portion having a first diameter, a cutting point at one end, and a counter-bore portion at the other end. The counter-bore portion has a second diameter larger than the first diameter. A stop portion located adjacent the counter-bore portion on a side opposite to the drill portion has a third diameter larger than the second diameter.A screw for use with the drill bit has an unthreaded portion, a threaded portion on one end and a head on the other end. The first diameter of the drill bit is about 1.5 to 2.5 times as large as the diameter of the unthreaded portion of the screw, and less than the diameter of the head of the screw. The diameter of the head is substantially the second diameter of the drill bit, and the head has a depth substantially equal to the depth of a recess made by the counter bore portion of the drill bit.
