Abstract
Provided is a thiol group-containing charge transporting material represented by the following general formula (1):F-[(G)a1-(X)a2—Y—SH]b (1)wherein F represents an organic group derived from a charge transporting compound, G represents a divalent organic group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, X represents a group selected from a —CO—O— group, an —O—CO— group, and an —O— group, Y represents a divalent organic group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a1 and a2 each independently represent 0 or 1, and b represents an integer of 1 or more and 6 or less.
