Abstract
The invention relates to substituted benzothiazoles, benzoxazoles—and their counterparts having pyridine and pyrimidine rings replacing the benzene ring—that are PDE4 inhibitors useful for treating stroke, myocardial infarct, and cardiovascular inflammatory conditions, to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds, and to methods for the treatment of stroke, myocardial infarct, and cardiovascular inflammatory conditions in a mammal.
