Abstract
A system and method that provides a unique building maintenance tool which leverages the information collected during the design and construction phase of the building lifecycle. User access BIMs, Revit schedules and other data sources within the unique construction process to provide clients with a post occupancy view previously unobtainable. The solution provides for simple integration with external data sources through data file import or direct integration. The intent of the data integration model is to reduce costs of ongoing implementations providing a scalable model. Mobile access to information is a central component of customer appeal and will be a focal point of the design process. With the present invention mobile users can use mobile devices to scan 2 dimensional barcodes or QR Codes or other georeferencing technologies including RFIDs, thereby using the mobile device as the primary navigation portal to room and equipment information and images.
