Abstract

[Problem]To provide a resin composition having excellent sliding properties and mechanical properties and a sliding member that uses the same.[Solution]According to a resin composition of a fluorine-based resin dispersed in a hard resin, the maximum particle size of the fluorine-based resin is adjusted to be no greater than 950 nm and the mean particle size is adjusted to 100 nm to 450 nm. The hard resin is preferably at least one type selected from among polyether ether ketone, polyphenylene sulfide, polybutylene terephthalate, polyamides, polyamideimides, vinylidene fluoride and liquid crystal polymers. Polytetrafluoroethylene is preferred as the fluorine-based resin.
