Abstract

An arrow rest adaptable between right-hand and left-hand configurations includes a support body having a floor portion, a first arm portion and a second arm portion extending from the floor portion. The first at second arm portions have first and second upper connection ends, respectively. An arrow support portion is rotatably connected to the support body between the first and second arm portions for supporting the shaft of an arrow. A capture arm has a lower connection end for connection to one of the first and second upper connection ends. The capture arm is either connected to the first arm portion when the arrow rest is in a right-hand configuration or connected to the second arm portion when the arrow rest is in a left-hand configuration. A torsion hinge assembly includes a shaft rotatably connected to the support body and fixedly connected to the arrow support portion. First and second pulleys are fixed at opposite ends of the shaft. The first pulley is connected to an activation cable when the arrow rest is in a right-hand configuration. Alternatively, the second pulley is connected to the activation cable when the arrow rest is in a left-hand configuration.
