Abstract
An outlet valve assembly for fluid dispenser includes an outlet nipple having a proximal end for fluidically coupling to a pump and a distal end and defining a flow conduit. An outlet nozzle comprises a sleeve and an inward annular protrusion cooperating to define a counterbore coaxially receiving at least a portion of the outlet nipple. A resilient valve member within the counterbore includes a valve head portion and a peripheral valve portion around the valve head portion. The peripheral valve portion is retained between the annular protrusion and the distal end. A vent-resisting member integrally formed within the conduit includes a perforated baffle adjacent a first side, upstream of the valve head portion. The baffle is positioned close to the first side of the valve head portion to resist inward opening of the orifice during operation to prevent inward venting of ambient air during a dispensing operation.
