Abstract
Disclosed is a cathode active material comprising a lithium nickel manganese composite oxide with a spinel structure represented by the following Formula 1, wherein the cathode active material is surface-coated with a silane compound and a silicon content of the silane compound is 0.01 to 5% by weight, based on the total amount of the cathode active material:LixMyMn2−yO4−zAz (1) Disclosed is also a secondary battery comprising the same.
