A method for determining the habitual head posture of a subject includes recording the head posture over a period of time and determining a preferred head posture from the recording. Also, an apparatus (100) for determining the habitual head posture of a subject includes a recording device (110) for recording the head posture over a period of time and a determining device (112, 114) for determining a preferred head posture from the recording.
