Abstract
A modifying agent includes an acrylic copolymer containing an acrylic acid ester monomer unit, a methacrylic acid ester monomer unit, a monomer unit of a compound represented by Formula (1), and a cationic monomer unit:wherein, in the formula, R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R2, R3, and R4 are hydrogen atoms or organic groups having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in which hydrogen does not exist in carbon adjacent to a double bond; R5 is an organic group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in which hydrogen does not exist in carbon adjacent to a double bond; X2 is a hydrogen atom; Y isor —O—; and n is 1 or 0.
