An administration tool may receive from a requestor a request to enable maintenance for the virtual appliance. The administration tool may generate, responsive to the request, a random password. The administration tool may enable, responsive to the request, the remote access port. The virtual appliance may wait for a connection to the remote access port for a predetermined period of time.
