Abstract
Glass fibers are presented having a composition of about 48-54 weight percent SiO2; about 7-14 weight percent Al2O3, about 10-16 weight percent CaO, about 7-13 weight percent TiO2, and about 9-19 weight percent ZnO. A composite material is also provided formed of a polymer matrix and glass fibers of the present invention. The fibers of the present invention have a refractive index between about 1.60 and 1.66 at 590 nm.
