Abstract
This invention is directed to a synthetic process to produce the pharmacologically active compounds PA1 3-(1'-.alpha.-D-ribofuranosyl)-4-hydroxyrazole-5-carboxamide (Pyrazomycin B) and PA1 3-(1'-.beta.-,D-ribofuranosyl)-4-hydroxypyrazole-5-carboxamide (Pyrazomycin) The pyrazomycins exhibit activity as antiviral and antitumor agents.
