Abstract
Thermophilic microorganisms which produce .alpha.-1,6 glucosidases are grown under aerobic conditions in an aqueous nutrient medium containing suitable carbohydrate sources. The medium is maintained at a suitable pH and, typically, at a temperature above about 40.degree. C to provide substantial growth of the microorganisms and production of .alpha.-1,6 glucosidases.
