Abstract
A polymethylsilsesquioxane powder according to the present invention is characterized by being surface treated with an organic silicon compound represented by the following general formula: EQU (R.sub.3 Si)aZ wherein R represents a non-substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, a represents a numeral of 1 or 2, and Z represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, --OR', --NR'X, --ONR'.sub.2 or --OOCR' when a is 1, while --O--, --N(X) or --S-- when a is 2, wherein R' represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and X a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
