Abstract
Terpenes are removed from essential oils by PA1 (a) contacting terpene-containing essential oils with a polar solid (adsorbent); PA1 (b) separating the loaded adsorbent from the liquid phase enriched with terpenes; and PA1 (c) subjecting the adsorbent loaded with essential oils to an extraction with compressed carbon dioxide.
