Abstract
A laminated plate member having a thickness of 60 to 120 .mu.m and used as a material of focal plane shutter blades or iris blades of a camera has an intermediate layer made from a material composed of uni-directionally oriented continuous (long) or short carbon fibers and a matrix resin enveloping the carbon fibers, the material having a resin content ranging from 50 to 60 wt % when the carbon fibers are long fibers and 60 to 75 wt % when the fibers are short fibers, and surface layers on both sides of the intermediate layer, each surface layer being made from a material composed of a matrix resin enveloping long carbon fibers uni-directionally oriented in a direction substantially orthogonal to that of the carbon fibers in the intermediate layer, the material of the surface layers having a resin content ranging from 30 to 45 wt %.
