Abstract
Human growth hormone variants are disclosed wherein the lysine at position 41 and/or the leucine at position 45 of native human growth hormone, numbered from the mature N-terminus of native human growth hormone, has been replaced with another amino acid. Also claimed are combination variants that have a higher binding affinity to the growth hormone receptor than wild-type human growth hormone.
