Abstract

A compound of the formula ##STR1## in which the symbols have the following meaning: X is a monocyclic radical having 3, 4 or 5 ring atoms, PA0 R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.12 and R.sup.13 are, for example, an alkyl radical, PA0 q is zero or 1, PA0 L is, for example, a methylene group and PA0 A is the radical, for example, of a heterocycle are highly active as antagonists of angiotensin II receptors. They can be used as pharmaceuticals or diagnostics.
