Abstract
The present invention relates to peptides and polypeptides derived from the submaxillary gland of the rat. In particular, the present invention discloses a purified peptide of formuls: EQU X-His-Asn-Pro-Y in which X represents a Gln or Pro-Glu residue and Y represents an OH group or residue of a basic amino acid. The present invention also relates to corresponding polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies as well as corresponding hybridomas. The products of the present invention are useful for therapeutic, diagnosis and detection purposes.
