Abstract

The compounds of formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and X have the significance as given in the description, are inhibitors of endothelin receptors and can therefore be used for the treatment of disorders which are associated with abnormal vascular tone and endothelial dysfunction.
