Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 May 2026
By accessing TraceComp you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What TraceComp is
TraceComp aggregates company information from official public registries and open-data sources, structures it, and presents it together with a proprietary risk score (the "TraceComp Score"), screening against public sanctions/PEP lists, and derived analysis. We provide access to company profiles and to detailed reports.
2. No warranty — information only, not professional advice
The data originates from third-party public registries and is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose. Registries contain errors, lags and omissions, and our derived scores and screening results are automated estimates. Nothing on TraceComp constitutes legal, financial, investment, credit, or compliance advice. You must independently verify any information before relying on it for a decision.
3. Sanctions & screening disclaimer
Sanctions and politically-exposed-person ("PEP") indicators are possible name matches against public lists, not confirmations of identity or wrongdoing. A match may be a false positive (different person/entity sharing a name) and the absence of a match is not a clearance. You are responsible for conducting and confirming your own compliance checks.
4. Reports & payment
A single-company report is a one-time purchase (currently €19) granting 30 days of access to that company's full report. Payments are processed by Stripe. The report is digital content supplied immediately; by purchasing and accessing it you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you thereby lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for that delivered digital content. If the report fails to deliver due to a technical fault on our side, contact [email protected] for a remedy or refund.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, bulk-download, crawl, or systematically extract data from the TraceComp site, nor resell or redistribute our compiled data, scores, or reports, except as expressly permitted by a written API/licence agreement.
- Do not use the service for unlawful purposes, harassment, or to make decisions about individuals that would breach applicable data-protection or anti-discrimination law.
- Do not attempt to bypass the paywall, access controls, or rate limits.
6. Intellectual property
The underlying facts are sourced from public registries under their respective licences (see Data Sources). Our selection, structuring, scoring, narratives, and presentation are our intellectual property and are protected as a database/compilation. The TraceComp name and logo are our trademarks.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TraceComp is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any decision made in reliance on the data. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, including the lawful basis and how data subjects can object or request erasure.
9. Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights.
